Everyone good with their GS and the potholes??
Just checking to see how everyone is? Any bent rims or damaged tires? I don't have any yet. Knock on wood. Its the opposite over at the bimmerfest with the 5 series. There is too many bent rims (because bmw makes lighter and softer oem wheels) and bubbling of the run-craps. Trust me, I have BMWs and I know that their cars sucks with potholes. Lexus rims especially the forged 19 inch optional ones I have on the GS F-sport are so strong that I am so surprised that they are still round even after hitting few potholes I could not avoid. Even my michelins are still round and balanced. Lexus suspensions give more room for soaking up those nutty potholes while the dampers preserve the handling.

Hanging in there. I just drove it to southern WV, potholes on those old country roads are INSANE!

I am hoping I don't have any damage after hitting a pothole earlier this evening. It was at low speed but a hard enough hit that everyone in the car said "ow!" I don't see any dings in any of the rims and the tire pressures are fine. No vibration on the highway coming home either. I missed a monster one (easily 2 feet deep) a few minutes later.

Not only in the steering wheel, the whole car was vibrating at higher speeds. I fixed the wheel and put it in the back for now, but I can still feel that there is something wrong. Maybe it's just my paranoia. Either way, I will be replacing that wheel with new or used, if I can find one.

Sniip3r, get the alignment checked also. Although RWD cars don't need to be constantly aligned like FWD, if you feel something is out of whack after a rim-bending pothole, I'd get it checked.

Havent been driving my gs lately. It's been sitting there for a month, but I'm glad I didn't take it out. Friends IS popped two tires and broke one wheel commuting from staten island to brooklyn. Friend from Queens went through 7 tires in 3 weeks.

Just curious, whats the best guess on how fast you need to be going to bend a rim, that has to make an awful noise when it happens, Thanks

I've hit a couple down here and I tear up every time I hit one. You know what's worse? Hitting an unmarked speed bump at 35mph. I thought the doors and engine were going to drop off the car.
