Default Motortrend confirms new GS F

Anyone else read latest Motortrend confirming 2015 GS F V-8 465 HP. Are they confusing it with the RC F ? Interesting if true.

GS F prototypes exist, but there's no conformation. Personally I believe it's a 2016 model (in 2015). The NX and RC will garner the spotlight this year. Expect the RX and GS the following.

^^^^ thanks! Yeah, it looks like the same test mule we saw last year. Great to see that they are finally testing it.

Actually the date on that particular article is Sept 2013 of last year. Having said that, I'm delighted to see a GS-F is likely in our near future

Motor Trend in the magazine I received today they are confirming the GS F is a go. They also said the IS F might not return.

As have every other publication. Take it with a grain of salt. They're regurgitating the same info we've known for months it's nothing new. We've had many threads on this, and looking at your join date you've missed a few big ones.

For the next several years Lexus plans to highlight F and F-Sport as a marque for the brand. This year it's the RC F garnering the spotlight as a 2015 model. Hence and like I wrote earlier, the GS F is likely as a 2016 in 2015.

And about the IS F, again we've known for months that the IS F will not return or rather put on hiatus. When the 4GS debuted I posted a picture of the engine bay to show the ample space between the engine block and radiator, GS F is coming and we know it'll have a V8. Same thing happened when I went to Torrance/Irvine in April of 2013 before the 3IS was launched in June, I noted the space or rather lack of space in the engine bay. Lexus built the 3IS with no intention of putting a V8 in it.

Now about two months ago I posted a thread; The Official Future of Lexus Thread, with some great news. A twin turbo V6 and twin turbo V8 are being developed. With the 250/350 powertrains coming up on a decade of service there's an excellent chance these new FI mills will debut in/on 2016/models. Most likely IS, GS, RC and LS.

You could be right, all Im doing is repeating what they said in the magazine and I don't think its regurgitating information when they say its a go, to my knowledge that has never been said yet. I'm assuming they have contacts with auto manufacturers including Lexus and that is where they got their info from. I could be wrong

Found it! Thanks for the info. And I trust MT. Last time they said the 14 would come with 8 speed and it did.

I hope the exterior makeover goes further than quad exhaust. We need the triple LED headlights from the JDM model and some other distinguishing features. I realize this is a test mule and we won't see what they have in mind until they bring it to NY, Detroit or Geneva, but this model is seriously on my radar.

They need to make it a V10 to make it special.

Nah, it'll be special enough with a 454hp V8. I always said this car needed +50hp to begin with, this will be great. Plus, I don't like V10's unless you can really see and hear them, ala Lamborghini and the Audi R8. Put that baby under glass out back. The RC-F could do it.

no matter how realistic dropping the V10 in the 4GS we can always dream. I'd stop everything I'm doing an work 24/7 until I could purchase one. Then continue my life with that sweet exhaust note.
