Dealers would like your car serviced every 5k, meaning.....

5k multi point inspection with tire rotation
10k mpi, oil change, rotation
15k mpi, rotation, maybe cabin filter
20k mpi, oil change, rotation....... so on

If dealer is changing oil at 5k, they are taking advantage of you. For the sticker in your car is set to 5k when it gets PDI'd, it just a reminder to return for service. Your dealer should have a service menu.

Aren't Accords, Civics, Camry, etc on 7500 or 10k schedule?

Perhaps its just an arrangement between Lexus and dealers to make a bit more profit with services?
Ditto what most of the others have said.

Now about those Accords and Civics you mentioned, all modern Honda vehicles use Honda's Maintenance Minder system, which takes into account engine load and engine revolutions to determine when an oil change is needed. Depending on how you drive the vehicle, it may notify you that an oil change is required after 3,293 miles or, if you've been taking it easy, it might go 8,174 miles. Those numbers are just examples, but the point is that the car's computer knows how 'hard' you've been driving it and adjusts your oil change schedule accordingly. Not sure why Toyota/Lexus doesn't do this yet. Maybe there is a patent involved?

Every other car I have says factory filled with ______. This doesnt have that so I would have to assume it is dino oil

If it has full synthetic then fantastic. Im not changing it for a long while.
The dealer is wrong. They may simply be ignorant, or they may be lying to you so they can change your oil and charge you every 5k. Its like when you go to quick lube place and your car is every 5k and they put a 3k sticker. They want your business more often whether you need the work done or not.

I would never trust this dealer again and find another dealer.

Does my 24mo lease EVER have to go to the dealer for service in the 30k im going to put on it? I do everything myself on my other cars but this is my first lease and cant find anything clear cut about "requirements" that must be made at dealership.

I understand I will be charged if i return the car with all 4 tires worn out completely and on cord, how about brake pads and rotors?

Doesn't have to go to the dealer for service, it just has to be serviced. Keep records.

Lexus does cover your 5k and 10k for free though. Make sure this dealer understand that 5k is a free tire rotation AND 10k is a free oil change and other service so you get what you paid for.

there is no way in the world they make a 0w-20 oil non synthetic, and yes the first oil change is at 10k and after that they programmed it at 15k, but u can go in the maintenance menu in ur screen and change it to 20k, but doing it at every 5k its much better and that would keep ur engine clean, well if u take it to the dealer to do the oil change thats called raipping u off, so do it urself it will cost u $75 max., dealer $ 150-200.

from what your ID says you probably have 2014 and i'm assuming you are talking about the first 5K service. It's complimentary anyways, i would just go get the oil change as there's no harm done.

forget that dealer after your two first complimentary.

If you take the unnecessary oil change at 5k they won't do your free 10k. You get the 1k, 5k and 10k free.

It's technically not "service" - it is just offered for customization. Basically, let the customer use the car for 1k miles, and decide how they want the customizable features to work - do they want blinker to auto switch off after 3 blinks or 5? Do they want the ability to hold down unlock button to open windows? etc
They don't do any maintenance type of work on the car during this 1k 'service'
