Mine just switches on too late. When the cabin is filled with fumes it switches on and then sufficate me to nausea? I have it set on high sensitivity as well.

I'd just leave it on recirculate all the time, it's gotta be cold there right?

I agree that it doesn't work very well. I'm going to talk to the dealer about it. My 2007 GS450h worked much better.

Don't leave it on recirculate, the windows will fog up. Please just leave it on auto.

It works about as well as the other smog sensors I've had on Lexus vehicles. Sometimes it works well, sometimes it doesn't.

LOL. Didn't know we had a smog sensor. As I've never smelled anything remotely similar to what I had to put up with living in LALA land, I guess it must be working fine.

Thats what the "AUTO" setting between outside air and recirculate refers to.

The windows will only fog up if the air in the car isn't dry. That's why there are defroster settings that engage the AC.

My 3GS auto recirculation was far better then the 4GS.... The new one has auto recirc that doesn't work 80% of the time.
