Pay $36 for an annual subscription to Pandora One and the commercials will be gone. I subscribed yesterday morning and got an email within a few seconds confirming that my free account had been converted to Pandora One.

I use Pandora on five platforms and devices: Pandora app built into two vehicle audio systems, directly from a phone, directly from a tablet computer, and on a Samsung "smart TV" that has a built-in Pandora app. Subscribing to Pandora One eliminated commercials on all five platforms and devices.

Great, thanks for cluing me in…now that I think about it, there must have been some point where the app in the car was associated with my free Pandora account, as all the stations appear on all devices. So upgrade the account, no more ads. Done!
