Default 2013 vs 2014 GS350

Hi all,

Never have owned a lexus, but was researching a BMW 528i and someone said to check out the GS350 as there are great deals to be had.

Is there a big difference between the 2013 vs the 2014 model. What kind of deals can be had on the GS350.

How does it compare to the BMW 528i, any input from owners who cross shopped would be great.

2014's have auto folding side mirrors, an auto for the heated an ventilated seats, 8-speed transmission on RWD, and a few firmware updates. Excellent deals can be had on the remaining 13's though.

528i will be peppy and efficient but somewhat coarse vs the GS350 V6. Also the GS is lighter and the best handling vehicle in its segment in F-Sport guise. Better cabin materials in the GS as well.

5-Series will have good lease deals.

Best thing to do is drive both back to back if you can

Thanks for the response. Does the new 8 -speed make a considerable difference. How's the MPG on the GS350. Is it because of the new 8 speed transmission added to the 2014 that good deals can be had on the 2013's. What kind of deals are people getting on the GS350.

Also, does lexus have good leases like BMWs. i will definitely try to test drive both.

Leftover 2013 models can be had for around 9k off...per my shopping new years eve. I settled on a 13 450h because the deal was even sweeter. A 450h can be had for around 12k-13k off if you find the right dealer.

From extensive time in both 6-Speed and 8-Speed, I've found the 8 has a little more initial lag from a dig, but it keeps you in the powerband better. The 6 is tried and true however I'd personally go with the 8 (IMO).

Lexus has decent leases especially on their cars that have high residuals like the ES and RX. The slower selling ones not so much, but even then when I priced a GS lease it comes between $500-600. Some dealers may be able to do better
