Post What should I pay for a 2014 GS 350?

Getting ready to trade in my 2006 GS.
Was at the dealer today and took a few test drives.
Looking at a GS with 'Luxury Package'
(Base = $49,950, Accessories = $6,487, Dest Fee = $910 ==> MSRP = $57,347).
I hate the negotiation... what's a reasonable offer for me to make?

Thanks!

I used the USAA buying group to get a price for a 2014 lux with Blind spot, nav, and parking assist. The price was $53,000. I contacted a few dealers and they said they would match this price so that should be a good starting point. The trouble I had was there were no 2014 lux models anywhere. I was offered a 2013 lux for $9300 off MSRP but ended up getting a 2013 450h (no lux) for only a grand more that the 2014 lux.

Apparently you get about 1% off your apr use the USAA car buying service and also get your loan thru USAA.

That was a sore point. With credit scores over 800 I thought I would qualify for their 1.39% and a 0.9% discount for a total of 0.49% for 36 months which is almost Free! No luck. I don't think anybody qualifies and is just a sucker promotion. I didn't go with USAA but was able to get a base line on what the dealers would take on the GS.

Good to know. I've heard that PenFed Credit Union is quite competitive but don't know first hand. Who did you end up financing with?

My local bank Chase was offering 2.54% if I remember correctly and Lexus was 2.99%. The dealer said I get some maintenance discounts if I used Lexus Financial so I did even if I pay it off after a few months.

I ordered my 2014 GS through Johnson Lexus in Durham NC in late October for $500 over invoice. Salesman was Peter Pokorny. They will deliver the car to my door in Memphis free of charge, hopefully within the next couple of weeks. Though I don't actually have the car yet I was very happy with the negotiations (i.e., no negotiations, just $500 over dealer cost). Peter was great to work with; give them a phone call, that's all I did.

I had a customer come in last Saturday with .7% for 60 from USAA.

Default Buying New??

I bought mine back in december with 13k miles msrp was 59,890 it has luxury/ premium package (bsm, park assist, 3 zone climate control, etc) 2013 model. For 41,500. It still had the new car smell to it and just 13k miles i got it for almost 20,000$ off msrp. My opinion i would never buy new thats just me though.
