CL members with the fog lights installed on F-sport, do you know if the gauge cluster on the US model F-Sport has a bulb already installed to indicate that the fog lights have been turned on?

The technician installing this for me asked this specific question, and I couldn't give him an answer, but I would like to have it done if it isn't already done from the factory with a bulb in the gauge cluster for the fog lights.

He said if it doesn't, he will take out the cluster and put it in a bulb for me so when I turn the fog lights on, the indicator will also light up on my cluster. My old GS350 had it for the fog lights, as does the 3rd generation IS250 and newer RX450H I had for a loaner vehicle.

Any help is appreciated.

I haven't had this done yet, but the gauge cluster is already setup for fog lights. You have to tap into the ECU, I believe. There is a thread started by JoeZ...search for it.

Thanks, I forwarded two threads to my technician already in regards to this and one of those was the JoeZ one. Thanks for the rapid response. He's gonna start to work on it this week.

Yes it does I have the foglights installed and turns on in the cluster.

Wait really? And you can turn them on separately from the headlights? I thought when you hooked it up to the ecu the fogs can only come on with the heads a la standard Lexus procedure?

No you cannot turn them on separately from the headlights, per Lexus standard wiring. You can change the wiring to achieve this. I'm not going to do it. Too much work.

What I was asking was if the cluster already has a bulb installed where the fog light indicator sits and if you turn on the fog lights, will it turn on. The headlights and fog lights have different indicators on the cluster.

There is a bulb there for it. I've seen numerous examples of it on. I am going the Lexus wiring route but I would love to be able to run the fogs separately. It looks great during dusk hours.

Bulb is already in the cluster, ECU will turn it on when the fog light switch is closed.
