Rock chips and xpel ultimate
I have Xpel Ultimate installed on my GS Corvette and had to do quite an extensive installation as the tires on these cars are huge! They tend to kick up quite a bit of gravel and in order to prevent any chipping on the rockers those were covered up as was the hood, mirrors, rear quarters, and front facia. It does not look like these tires really stick out like on the Vette, but I want to play it safe with the new Fsport on order, plus the front will always get hit at some point. My question for any GS 350 owners out here that have seen a chip or two, where have they popped up, or for the ones who have installed it all ready, and do you think you did enough or overkill?

If I had it to do over again I would do the whole hood and fenders, I have a few very small chips higher up the hood.
Other than that...no issues on the rockers or anything like that.

I have xpel on mine. (full hood, bumper front fenders, side mirrors and a small strip on the back bumper so I don't hit it when putting things in the trunk like golf clubs) If I was doing it over again, I wish I could afford doing the whole car. But in reality I would prob just add the gas tank door as it's a push/pop system and my town has a law that it must be pumped by a worker.
My advice is as soon as you know when your picking up the car, make an appointment for that so you can literarily drive the car straight to the shop or better yet have it towed there. I needed to wait like 3 weeks for mine to get installed, and driving it only a few miles I had a few small chips.

I have the entire front end done.... + door cups.
aside from having NO rock chips....
it's so damn easy to clean since.. I can't make swirls on Xpel Ultimate.
I'd recco doing the whole car, esp. if yer feeling lazy.
Door cups if you have a lot of female traffic in your car... they for whatever reason like to leave nail marks in your door cups. and trunk, another place where it's flat enough to pickup a lot of swirls.
I have a black GS, and even with 2 bucket + clay, i still managed to pick some swirls up on my trunk.

I recommend it. But weigh the pros and cons for your own situation though ... how long will you keep the car for, leased or bought, road conditions, car color, etc.
The clear bra is tough ... but it's still not bullet proof. A big enough rock will still ruin your day.
