Dislike bluetooth phone audio sound in this car
Everything is great about the car and technology. The inform works well and the quality of bluetooth audio (pandora, etc) iis fantastic. HOWEVER, when making phone calls, the sound is so poor. Its high treble and thin in sound quality. Its coming only from one speaker rather then all the speakers in the entire car like the bluetooth audio for music streaming. Its so bad that i refuse to use it and instead utilize my bluetooth headset. None of the premium luxury or upper luxury cars I have owned in the past 7 years since onset of bluetooth is any worse than this car. Even the older 2006 GS300 I had sounded much better. What gives?

When I first got it I noted that the sound quality of the bluetooth phone was a real downgrade from that in my 2010 ES. I played around with the settings (you can adjust treble and bass for the phone now too) and am happy with it now.

Hi,
How do you adjust the bass and treble for the phone? On the phone itself or in the car? I cannot do it in my car as theres no icon to select to adjust sound quality in the car. IT also sounds like it is only coming out of one speaker and not all of them...

In the car, there are settings somewhere I don't remember how to adjust them off the top of my head...

Ditto - I changed from two circa 2006 Lexuses (Lexii?) to 2013 models and the BT quality is now much, much worse. See this thread https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...r-quality.html

This is one of the options I saw in the hidden menu option found a couple months ago. I wonder how much better the sound could be after tinkering with these settings.

How do you get to this "hidden" menu?
edit - I think I found how to do this - you hold down the menu button and then switch the lights from off to on several times, correct? I wonder if this works here in Canada where the Lights on/off switch has a slightly different effect due to daytime running lights.

What did you change to make it better? Right now it sounds tinny and very cheap. Ugh!
