Default Opti-Coat 2.0 Finally Applied!!!

I finally got opti-coat 2.0 applied to my car and I must say it kinda makes the car look like glass and almost brand new again. I still have extra as well so I think it came out great. The detailer also got rid of the scratch the best he could without wet sanding it as I didn't want that.

Looks good!! Do you have film on the front of your hood? Can it be applied over film?

Why are you aganist wetsanding? A little wetsanding goes a long way if the scratch is just in the clear. I just took out a 15'' scratch in a black BMW today, just went over it with 2k and leveled it out a little.

Yes I do have film on it, I'm not sure if it was applied to it but I will find out.

This is true, he stated that it would help but I'm just not to sure about wetsanding. Maybe next time since I have some opti-coat left over it could be applied over it.

I am not sure how **** you are, I know I am OCD, so it would bother me. I am about to trade my car in because I am so dissatisifed with the paint.

They should have applied OC to the film...

No need to be afraid of wetsanding.

I probably will do the wet-sanding since I have plenty of OC left. Whats the verdict on taking care of OC 2.0. For winter I don't plan to drive the car a lot.

Looking good bb. OC 2 is supposed to give you ...good night sleep. Plus you have silver so it's not too much of a pain to keep it clean and shine. Sometimes I wish I had gone with OC but I'm leasing so not too much of a big deal for me. I see the benefit of having the clear bra but that line would drive me crazy. It's too noticeable for me

haha, i see you 06. she looks great. now slap your detailer because he should know that a coating goes underneath the bra. it's no biggy but if you ever take off the bra for whatever reason you will see the difference. how do you plan to maintain it? i've got a few suggestions... ( BIG SMILE )

Ok that's what I plan to do as I'm tired of worrying. Well I don't know if he applied it to the clear bra, gotta find out.

They can't put the coating underneath the bra if the bra is already there...

by opti-coating your wheels besides making it easier to clean, will it protect the wheel from pitting if you have chrome rims?
