Default Going to get a GS350 luxury soon need advice...

This is my first post so I would like to say "hello" to all forum members!

I am planning to buy a lexus brand new for the first time. My current vehicle is an LS 430 which i bought pre-owend.

If i buy a gs with luxury package that does not include PCS/Dynamic Cruise Control can the lexus dealer install that before i take it home?

Or do I have to wait until the exact model I want with the right options apear at the dealer?

Also if I special order a Gs350 can I still haggle the price down or would have to pay the asking price of that special order?

I don't think those features are dealer installed options. Your dealer should be able to locate the car with the features you selected. They will select from what was recenlty built or what is scheduled to be built.

It is rare that they build one completely from scratch. People have said they've done that and it's taken months.

You would need to find a GS with those options. I do not think Lexus is taking anymore orders because production for the 2013 may have stopped. It's best to ask the dealer.

Like so they said it needs to be ordered with the car or find one on the lot with one.

Anyone know if I can wheel and deal my purchase price if I decided to special order the 2014 Gs350? Or would I have to pay full price for it? Any addition fees if I go this route?

Special order usually means very small space for negotiations

Like SNiiP3R stated, if you special order a 2014 don't expect the dealer to be in the negotiating mood. GL...

I would see what deals you can get on the '13 and if they can even locate it. If not, have them redirect from port one you want in the spec you want. At the same time try and nail down that they will do a similar deal. If you special order, it's likely you will be getting it about the time for December to remember. It's important to establish some rapport though with the dealer and make sure they won't change their mind on you.

I ordered my car because like you, they cannot put most of the options on at the dealer. That being said, when mine came in, they tried to play price games. I backed out. Couple weeks later, I asked if they still had it and wanted to deal or keep the car on their lot. Needless to say I got my car. But they are car dealers and are looking to get the most out of you. Some dealers respect the costumer more than others. As such, hopefully you can visit a few dealers in your area.

I would try to wait for 2014. Not much negotiating room, but it's a newer manufactured batch.
OR
You can get a "loaded" 2013 at a deep discount right now (since all dealerships are trying to make rooms for the 2014).

But you definitely need to act soon for the 2013s cos the inventory is getting less and less for the "loaded" GS.

I was able to haggle my special order down a bit. I think they agreed because we are repeat buyers (4 previous) and we service 3 of our cars their.
I ordered in mid January, with delivery in Mid May.
If you can't get a really good deal on a '13 i would wait for the '14s

Hey, we are all here for the same reason... to enjoy our cars. And you will certainly enjoy the GS. I usually trade cars once a year and I've now had my 4GS for 18 months because I can't think of anything I'd rather drive at this price point.

Make sure you deal with the internet fleet sales person. That will cut through all the chase.
