Default Xperia Z and messages

Hello. Got the Sony Xperia Z. Pairs fine except emails are delivered as garbage text to the nav system. Anyone has that with this phone or others and found a fix? Thanks.

Nice phone!!! Thats suppose to be a beautiful looking phone that is waterproof. Let me know how it works overall because i am interested in one. I will look into the message problem you have to see whats going on and get back to you. I have good experience with android programming and features.

It is a great phone and I love pretty much everything about it. If only messages would display and read normally in my GS, I'd say it's perfect. If anyone has ideas on how to fix, please don't hesitate!

Yep, got the latest Android build and my messages are in English. What's odd is that it worked fine with my Blackberry before but for some reason not the Xperia. Any other ideas, don't hesitate!

Just noticed that the garbage text is actually font / layout information. It's like the car is reading font size, indentation, etc. information. Trying to find a way to make the phone just treat emails as basic text to see if that'll change anything.

It's probably trying to decipher HTML information. Set your emails to be plain text only of you can.

Thanks. Can't seem to be able to do it. Anyhow knows where that would be on Android 4.1?

Ive got my Galaxy S4, and im not receiving anything other than phone calls, call logs, and BT music. Do you have any ideas about how to get email or text message notifications too? Note: I have an 8-inch screen not the 12-inch. (Just incase that has anything to do with it)
Thanks

For this to work, your phone needs the bluetooth message access profile or MAP. I had tried a Galaxy S3 and it did not work. Not sure about the Galaxy S4 unfortunately.

My Samsung S4 works beautiful with the text messages. I can send and receive while driving.

Re- pair it and look at the phone and when it asks about the map (message across profile) click yes.

When I had connected it to our VW Toureg it asked me for MAP access and other things, its makes bluetooth connectivity so cool. But when I connected it to my car, it didnt ask for such things.
I might try to pair it again, and hope to get those features!
