Default Whistling...ppf?

I just recently had paint protection film installed on the front end and the side mirrors. On a recent road trip (interstate driving), the wife and I noticed a high pitched whistling from the driver's and passenger's side. I first thought it was the seal between the window and the door frame, but it didn't go away when I opened the window. It got louder.

I'm fairly certain it's coming from the mirrors. My guess is it's the paint protection film (xpel ultimate). Anybody experience this? They put two pieces on the mirrors so there is a small seam in the middle of the mirror....

Thanks for the replies. I'm going to have my installer try covering it with a single piece. I'd really like to have some coverage on the mirrors.

Does anyone disagree that the installer should make it right at no cost?

Film removed from mirrors...no more whistle. I'm not going to replace.
