Default brake differences between lexus gs350

Is it true that the brakes for the base lexus gs350 is a 2 piston caliber and that the f sport one is 4 piston? I thought that the base lexus gs350 got the same brakes as the old lexus gs350.

Thanks

Yes. Base is a 2 piston front / 2 piston rear. GS F-Sport is 4 / 2 sharing components with the new IS-350 F-Sport.

Both the base and Fsport model uses 4 piston front calipers. The difference is the Fsport caliper is a little bigger. The rear is a single piston on both models.

Also you guys forgot a big part. THe F-sport is the only car in its class and really one of the few cars not an exotic with 2-piece rotors. This gives the F-sport less unsprung weight which helps handling.

The GS 350/450h brake seems to be a carryover from the previous model but its a very very good stock brake.

Careful listing brake components for ALL F-Sports, when the RWD and AWD have different brakes as well.

+1 was just gonna say that, as AWD has the regular 4 piston front and 2 piston rear as the RWD has the bigger brakes and I thought the RWD had 6 piston or was that confused with the LS f-sport.
