I'm thinking that for $180 a year, i can purchase a dozen albums from itunes, put them on my phone, listen to them without having to worry about trees, going in a garage, etc. The bluetooth connection to phones is going to make XM-Sirius less attractive. Might be good to sell your XM stock.

If you are paying $180 a year you are getting ripped off. Every year I call and attempt to cancel which typically yields a 50% discount. I haven't paid over $90 yet.

$90 sounds more reasonable. I was referring to the packet they sent. I'm still on the free trial period. I thought we were paying a lot less on our Nissan, but hadn't gotten around to looking that up yet.

My 2 cents, the nice thing about Sat radio/internet radio is the variety of music you can get versus your cd/MP3 collection. I have a ton of CD's (about 2k) and about 6ooGB of MP3.. I still love listening to sat radio!

I do like to catch occasional Oregon football games in the fall and sometimes some national news reports. That's worth something, but not for their list price. I'll see what deals they're willing to make when the free trial expires

After my free trial expired they tried to offer me a year for around $100 and I still said no. Then I called back and gave them the "my uncle pays $25 every 6 months" bs deal so I want that deal too and they gave it to me. Now lets see how long it lasts.

Angry XM Radio Signal Drop - RX 350

Getting the runaround from both Lexus and SiriusXM - pointing the finger at each other. Just getting near a TREE will cause the signal to drop. No problem with my Ford Ranger.
Tried the refresh three times. Lexus claims to be completely unaware of any problems.

Is there any fix for this?????

I have drop out in the same exact spots all the time. Only for a second and only a few regular driving spots.

One of the spots is under a bridge and that is understandable I guess.

One spot only drops out in the summer when the trees are full bloom. In the winter I can drive through there and XM doesn't drop out.

I traded an Audi S5 for my 4GS and haven't noticed any difference in terms of dropouts/reception.

While not XM has anyone experienced drop outs of HD radio... It seems like the radio will pick up the HD feed then it drops. It even drops out when i'm not even moving and stopped at a red light or parked. Its gotten so annoying that I turn off HD radio. It sounds so much better but the constant drops are annoying.

I agree with the OP, much worse SAT reception than either my CTS-V or any of our BMW's. Don't get me wrong it's passable, but I also do certain routes a lot where I know I would get a little drop out on my other cars and on the GS it drops out more and for a longer period.

We also have a Genesis sedan in addition to our GS 350 F-Sport and I have noticed that the Genny drops XM far less often than the GS does which is slightly disappointing. Granted we have lots of trees on our little island and both cars have drops but the GS definitely struggles more to get a clean signal...

I'm having many more drops than with the last 4 vehicles ie, MB GLK350, Chrysler 300C, No drops on my previous cars, only this one.
