Default GS Got Hungry for Rubber

I encountered a giant piece of tire on i95 today. It came out of nowhere and I couldn't switch lanes unfortunately. I felt it hit under the car so I presumed it was gone so I just held in my tears and kept going. Once I got out to see the damage, I found the tire shred still chilling in poor Lexi's mouth. Luckily it just detached the clips that attached the mesh to the bumper and scuffed the bumper a little. The only real damage done was parts of the mesh was broken. It was like mario kart on the highway today. There was debris everywhere.

:-( there is something that helps and I discovered it for about 1 year ago. Its called Waze GPS and I allways have it running on my Ipad while driving! I have avoided and evereted laser targeting police, hazzards, debries and ... on the road. It works better the more users get attached to it,

I no its no consolation but the lower mesh only cost’s £30 in the UK and is easy to fit, I no this because I had the same problem with something hitting the mesh, fortunately it didn’t damage anything else. Looks like most of the bumper damage will buff out.

Scratch-X from Autozone or Ebay works wonders on small scratches. From the photos most of those will buff out, however the worst ones probably won't. My Lexus dealer in Dallas has a bumper repair service independent of the body shop that will repair minor damage like that at a very nominal fee.

It's awful, but congrats on the picture. That picture is like abstract art. You could put that in a gallery.

Thanks for the concern guys. Thank God the damage is isolated to the mesh and isn't noticeable at all, even up close. The mid bumper is ok too. Still going to use it as an excuse to wrap the mid-section though lol.
