Default Emblem on brake caliper?

Have anyone putting Lexus emblem on brake caliper? Look like the Lexus trunk emblem will fit the front GS caliper with no issue. Will it looking good?

Considering that brake calipers can heat up to well over 500* F, no it will not look good.

I thought someone posted a picture of the logo painted on the calipers. Don't remember the thread, though.

High temp paint will work. Most everything else will melt or flake off.

Just check today to my surprise, the brake calipers are cool to touch while only the rotors are hot. I put some decal on the front calipers, will see how long it last. The Lexus trunk emblem (6 and half inches long) will fit nicely on the front caliper but I prefer something a bit smaller.

I believe you about the 500 degrees, but I had no idea they'd get that hot. Is that the side facing the rotor? How hot would they get on the part we see through the wheel?

On my last car, the Camry, it would be hot enough to turn water into steam. The GS350 does have vents to help cool the brakes but I'm sure it still gets very hot. I will have to go borrow my friend's laser thermometer to get an accurate reading.

If you look at all the kids that paint their calipers, the caliper paint are all rated fro like 500 to 900* F ... It's simple science really. Brakes cause friction and friction creates heat. They will get hot!

Apparently they sell high temp decals. Learn something new everyday.

After driving around town today for 20 minutes I check the brake, I can feel the heat coming from the fender, while the rotor is super hot, the brake caliper (outside part where you can put your finger on) is cool to touch. On my last 3GS when I'm testing the brake, the front rotors turn red after driving and braking for a miles.

Here the pics with decal on, a bit small for the front calipers so I ordered something bigger.

The bigger one here:

The one in those pics:

I took the wheels off, clean the caliper surface with IPA (Isopropyl Alcohol) and put the sticker on. Simple and cheap.
