Default No Mirror Point Down

Ok guys, new crisis to deal with, the side view mirror do not angle down when the transmission is in reverse. This feature was fully functional until this week. What happened, did the car get struck by lightning. How do I enable this feature again?

Set the adjustment so that one of the green lights at the base of the mirror control is on. That will do it.

Ok so I was the culprit. That green light was bugging me so I hit the left and right button together the green light disappeared, but then "no mirror point down". Thanks ECL..

I have the opposite situation. I have the green light lit only on the passenger side mirror but both mirrors tilt down when I put the car in reverse. I thought only the mirror that was selected with the green light was supposed to do that. Is this normal or a glitch?

dseag2, that is how both my mirrors behave when the green light is on either the L or the R side.

That was the case in my Acura and hated it, You always had to change it depending on what side of the street you were parking on. Im glad Lexus chose differently

If you only want one mirror to tilt down when in reverse, put the car into reverse, set the mirror you want tilted to the desired position and set the mirror you do not want tilted in the usual straight back (up) position. Leave either one of the green lights on. The next time you shift into reverse, only the preset mirror should tilt.
