Default My 5k service ...with a souvenir

After the service I drove off, thinking it all went ok.

The good thing is that they replaced the thingy for the trunk (according to the recall). The bad thing is that the top side of the trunk is well scratched leaving a souvenir that I won't forget because every time ill open the trunk ill see them. They are light scratches but never the less the are visible and quite large.

I tell you, this dealership keeps the track record intact with me. It's not the first time it happened, my previous 3GS (just bought) had to be in the shop for over a week to fix the damages they caused. I would love to never go back there which is a petty because the dealership is just around the corner and extremely easy to access, but I'm starting to think that a bunch of people there don't know what they the hell are doing.

Most of them know what they're doing... However, they don't care about damaging your 60K car. I would have them correct it. TJM

I now want to bring in the car for detailing. I know you recommend Brian , we spoke already about this... But I'm reluctant to drive that far a then rent a car to go back while the job is done. Do you suggest a second best perhaps in manhattan?

did you mean Phil ? what i did was instead of renting a car to get back. Phil drove me over the bridge to the A train, and when he was done i went to port authority and caught the N.J. transit bus to Harrington Park where Phil was waiting. it was convenient and much cheaper. i don't know of anyone in or around Manhattan that does quality detailing. IMO Phil would be your best bet.
