When was the build date for the vehicle?
Can you do a dealer swap?

sale price-47500
10k miles per year
27 month lease
Orange county
money factor-.0005
residual-36000

Total .......................................: $ 52517.00

I think the best way to assess this is to call the other Southern California Dealers, and tell them that you have a car with MSRP of $52517, that you can get with zero drive off for 432 a month (no typo), given the lease terms above, and see if they can match it...Drop by around $10 each phone call...when a few dealers start to balk, you will be close to rock bottom...I for one, would try to get the lease down to a 24 month term so that you avoid having to pay the registration fee for the third year...also make sure that 10K miles is enough for you...best of luck (I would also avoid red/gray!!)

If you don't like the color, no go.

Hello all -

I am new to leasing as well and am wondering if what I was quoted today is decent deal:

Lexus GS 350 F Loaded with pretty much every option

Cap Cost: $57,505
Adjusted Cap Cost: $54,505
Miles:12,000 /year
Money Factor: .00035 *with security deposit of $5,175 (money returned after lease)
$1,900 down
Lease term: 36 months

Monthly Payment: $548.83

Thanks for your help!

- Can you help us understand how the cap cost of your vehicle can be $57.5k when there is "pretty much every option"? (e.g. AWD, Cold Weather, Rear Steering, Mark Levinson, Heads Up Display etc)
- Why are you paying $1k over invoice?
- Why are you putting $1900 down payment? (Would you put a down payment on an apartment to reduce your monthly rent?)

MSRP was originally 61k - they knocked 3k off msrp and then added the $2500 bonus cash and $500 cert.

- Do you have a photo of this "fully loaded" $61k MSRP?

I don't. The car will be in next week. It's black with the Cabernet interior.

It was what the dealership asked for. Again, I am new to the lease game. I have bought all my cars outright but have ended up trading them in within 3-4 years. Liked the idea of a lease on the new GS but was just looking for guidance. If there's something I'm king wrong, feel free to let m know - Thanks all!

If the dealership asked for MSRP or $5k markup would you do it?

Leasing 101 Suggestions:

- Know your MSRP.
- Know the invoice price - This should be your goal.
- Any rebates etc should be in a separate "bucket" with the goal to go below the invoice price.
- $0 down payment (You wouldn't pre-pay your rent on an apartment)
- Multiple Security Deposits to buy down your Money Factor is okay.
