picked her up yesterday, my only complaint is that it's too damn quiet inside this car. will put wheels on her, not sure about dropping her yet. hope you guys don't mind me sharing even though i no longer have the GS. they could not figure out why my car would stop for no reason while switching lanes... it happened twice, once with my kids in the car so i'd made up my mind right then and there that the car was going back. Keith Drago, Joe Montana and Stephen Torrens of Rockville Centre in Long Island called Lexus Customer Care and went to bat for me. the GMs boss also had a hand in the decision. i'm very happy with how it all turned out.

Wow...Congrats!

When I read the thread title, I thought they had given you a loaner while your GS was refinished at DD...Then I saw the pics and realized you had moved up to the LS!

Obviously the ride and handling in the LS is much different than the GS, but how would you characterize the difference?

And I hope you keep hanging around the GS forum...You are a wealth of valuable info!

the difference is a snowstorm VS. a bright sunny day. LS= quiet, serene, smooth... GS= multiple personalities (not a bad thing). GS, you want to drive fast, LS, you just want to cruise. it's crazy because i haven't driven it over 60MPH, and the GS i would have hit 80 to 100 wanting to test her. i am surprised at how well this 2013 LS handles. i have to turn the music down to hear the exhaust note, and i still have to turn on my spidey senses to really hear it. this car is scary quiet.

no more obsidians for this Lexus enthusiast... i absolutely love the color and what we are able to achieve in terms of shining the hell out of it, but with beauty there comes a price, and everyone who's owned an Obsidian knows what price that is. i had a choice between the SP and a DSM, so you see which one i chose, and i wanted that DSM , it was sic with the flaxen interior. my heart wanted it but my brain said hell no.

Hey Congratulations. Its a super sweet ride and I love the color. More pics please and don't be a stranger to the GS forum. I may have to start watching the LS forums for your knowledge and info.

Nope, not an f sport, looks amazing though. The LS and GS are a big difference but both are excellent

thanx Mod, the care is the same i wouldn't change how i wash the car. the SP is definitely much easier to maintain.

thanx BA, i love the GS forum, i can't see myself not being nosy and adding my 2 cents. there are quite a few veterans on the LS forums, so i'll probably learn from them.

nah, this one is not an F Sport. i test drove both and to be truthful, there is no difference between the 2 except the make-up (cosmetics) is different. the practical side kicked in while making this decision. went to a black tie event in Long Island lastnight and i thought i looked good with my Tux shirt and bow tie etc... nobody looked at me when i got out , everybody's attention was on the car, it's like i wasn't even there... as though the car pulled up on it's own with no driver.
