I tried to install another one for the rear but it would interfere with the sunshade, anyone having a solution?
You can place the rear camera just above the 3rd brake light. Don't put too near though or else the camera will catch the red brake light.

By the way, you have have battery problem with parking mode? For mine Lexus found out that the Power Magic sucks power even when I turn it off. My battery will go super wear after 3 weeks running on parking mode. How did you connect your power magic?

The power rear sunshade will hit the cam wherever I mount it.

I don't have the battery problem. I use Lukas LK-330 UPC and set timer mode for 12hr, the UPC will cut power off after 12hr of parking and there no power draw. There are 2 wires input to UPC: ground, battery. I got the type B connector so the output wire go straight to the rear view mirror to the dashcam.

My DR4000 is installed at the rear juz above the 3rd brake light without any problem with the rear sunshade. I'll take a photo 2moro to show u.

I'm using Power Magic Pro. I set it to 11.8V & 24hrs. So when voltage drops to 11.8V or recording reaches 24hrs, it will cut off power to the DR500 in the front. For the rear DR400 I just connect it to ACC so it'll only record when i'm driving...

http://www.blackvue.com.sg/power-magic-pro.html

For my case while in parking mode the power is drained to below 11.8V overnight not exceeding 12hrs of recording. I find the drain is a little on the high side, dunno why! Lexus suggest I remove the Power Magic Pro & juz run it on ACC on both black box & observe. Till now no power drain. So problem lies with either the blackbox itself causing excessive power drain or the Power magic Pro is faulty!... Havent have time to bring back to the installer to get it checked!

If you set the battery cut off at 11.8V your battery properly dead and won't start the car. At 12.2V your battery only charged 50%.

I just look at the rear shade and look like the cam will fit above the 3rd stop light but I don't know if it will get a good angle. Also how you hide the wire, up to the roof or down to the rear dash?

The Power magic pro suppose to cut the power off completely to the cam, you might want to replace it. I got 3 dash cam and 3 UPC and they never drain my battery dead, even 2-3 weeks in parking mode.

You can get a clear view of the rear if you place it above the 3rd brake light. Only at night when you brake there will be a red hue recorded. 11.8V is still strong enough to start the car. Wires are hidden under the 3rd brake light housing. Sorry forgot to take photo of it!

Wow! 2-3 weeks without starting the car & place 3 cams on parking mode, still battery is not drained?! Really need to bring the power magic back to the installer man!

Thanks for the pictures. Nice and clean. Gotta get mine install soon, got extra cam laying around for awhile.
I mean 2-3 weeks without starting the car but the UPC cut off after 12hr so the both the front & rear cam run for 12hr and off, the car sit for 2-3 weeks and still startable.

Just trying to install that at the bottom instead of the top. That works fine with the sunshade.
