Hi how will these cars depreciate 1st 2nd and 3rd year im in uk by the way and just get gs250 and 450 hybrid lol

I traded in my 2011 new generation BMW 535i xdrive for the 2013 GS F-sport and to be honest with you, the GS is far more fun to drive and feels more BMW then the newer boring 5 series. The looks, technology, and handling of the GS is nop notch and is better then some of my german cars in the house including the Audi A8, BMW 3 coupe, and Mercedes Ml350.
Is the gs gona depreciate faster the bmw 5 series and e class merc on the third year how will it hold up
I though lexus has better resale than german
There's a lot of variables in that question. How well you take care of the car, how many miles, ever been in a wreck, demand for that vehicle, exterior color, installed options....etc.

Hi, im in the UK too! Just to let you know, the comments given before me are not going to help you. The US has different residual values. In the UK a brand new GS250 F SPORT costs £40,000 fully loaded. The moment you sit in the car and turn it on, it is valued at £34000. At the end of the 2nd year itll be £29000 and at the end of the third itll be around £26000 considering 10k miles every year and in average condition.
With the GS450h F Sport costing £54000 brand new fully loaded, moment you sit in the car and turn the engine on, £44000. 2nd year will be £37000 and 3rd year will be around £32000 considering 10k miles every year and in average condition.
Bear in mind that the F Sport variants will hold value much better than the other Luxury and premier trim due to its desirability in the UK. Also, the GS450h will RELATIVELY hold value better than the GS250, however, due to its more expensive price in the first place, the drop for the GS450h will be much steeper.
Also, over here, due to the petrol engine in both vehicles, the price is going to plummet. In the UK, Lexus residuals are not as high as the German brands! If residuals are an issue, i would personally go for the GS250 F Sport fully loaded. A fully loaded model will help residuals due to the desirability. Obviously, best thing to do would be to buy a car that is a few months old. For example, on Lexus UK, there are some fully loaded GS250 F SPORTs for £35000 which are a year old and have less than 10k miles. Obviously, with negotiation, the sticker price of £35000 will drop to around £32-34000.
The mercs and bmws are going to hold their value much much better especially a diesel model. Audi's seem to be the hype over here too so residual values of audis are particularly strong here in the UK.
im from london im just going to give couple months more im not a fan of buying cars brand new..plus i need to get rid of my other cars first.. BMW doesnt appeal to me one bit common as FORD. MERCS are nice but too many taxi drivers .. AUDI is a hit and miss for me am not looking for big power just decent power and the comfort and i think the gs is the best looking out the bunch.. it just seems to suit my needs to be honest i waited for the new 2013 LEXUS i.s to come out and it made me switch to the gs naturally.. i have not driven the GS but looking at the pics and reviews and owners review 99% sure im going to get one soon im planning to keep it for a long time and this car ticks all the boxes..there was a guy who posted here that he sold his nissan gtr for the gs i was shocked as i would not personally do that my self but there seems to be something special about this car .. well all i can say is few months time ill be in the gs and i cant..wait
I think the German brands tend to depreciate faster because 1) the price is typically higher with all the add-on packages and 2) people don't want to buy them as they are getting close to the end of warranty because of reliability issues and costs associated with repairs.
Lexus typically holds its resale fairly well.
