Default We Have Thicker Glass!

I just noticed we have thicker glass in the front, I also noticed my fathers ES has it as well. What's the point of it anyone on this.

iirc, the gs has laminated double pane glass up front? if so

it helps quite a bit in noise reduction. i think previously on LS, and now on more cars.

back when lexus first came out with ls400, the car was so quiet compared to the s class, mb had no choice but to upgrade the window glasses to double pane to try fix the noise problem

The front windows are thicker but they are not double pane.

I believe that it is also water and snow resistant. I think that it is double pane laminated glass because when I look at the top edge of the window there is a split line in the middle that looks like its laminated together.
