It was set to expire in May and they sent me a letter asking me to re-up and buy it for another year...

Then yesterday I get an email telling me they are extending my service for another year. How cool is that? They must really like me.

uuuuhhhh V. i think they like everybody. everyone's service is being extended. i was on Lexus Drivers a couple of months ago when i realized my service had been extended.

Just enform app suite is being extended if I understand correctly. Not safety connect, edestination and destination assist.

You need to read the small print. The Apps are being extended for another year without charge, but you will still need to pay to renew the Enform with Safety Connect. Here is the email that I received:

"Thank you for your recent purchase of a new 2013 Lexus. We hope you have enjoyed your Lexus Enform® App Suite trial. To thank you for being an early adopter of this exciting new technology, Lexus will be extending your Enform App Suite service for an extra 12 months free of charge. Your new Enform App Suite trial expiration date is 5/31/2014 and there is no action required on your part.

Your Lexus Enform with Safety Connect® subscription and SiriusXM Data Services Package, including NavTraffic™, NavWeather™, and Travel Link, are provided separately and will expire after your original one-year trial. You will soon receive separate communications regarding the renewal of those subscriptions.

Only the few apps are extended which I never use. The "useful" things are not.

I would love to extend eDestination and Destination Assist. However, Not for 250 a year when I may use it 5-10 times. Lexus needs to offer more packages.

Bah! I guess I've been bamboozled. I didn't read it through.

I guess when something seems too good to be true, it actually is too good to be true.

I never use the Enform App suite. The only thing I would be interested in is Safety connect, but I guess it isn't meant to be...not for the amount they are asking.

I received the same e-mail and letter combination. It's really generous of Lexus to allow me to continue to use the data connection on the cellular phone I pay for with my car which I paid for.

i agree i dont use the enform app suite. so i had to pay around 250 for it. its worth it if u travel a bit.

Interestingly, when I look up my account on line, it shows that my Lexus Enform and Safety Connect
subscriptions have been extended for another year!

I think they should make it free, since it is using our phones internet to use it. Hope they offer free traffic like they are on the new IS.

I agree with bigblack06 - this should be free.

You guys might want to read the Enform license agreement. It doesn't take a lawyer to see how one-sided it is. They're basically getting your permission to collect just about anything they want, so long as they "anonymize" it. And you get to pay for it!
