Jump starting the battery procedures are outlined the your Owner's Manual. I don't recall anything unusual about it. Just standard procedures. Red to red and black to black. Start up the car with the good battery and attempt starting the one with the dead battery. It should work.

when the time comes, I'll replace mine with an Optima red top

OReilly says a size #25 style and and you can get that one for $165 shipped

of course, you have to be able to wait on shipping or just replace at x months old as a preventative measure

I had the dead battery problem this morning, car was completely dead. Called Lexus Roadside Assistance and I guess they use AAA, since the tow truck driver didn't even know I called Lexus. Jumped her and let the car run for awhile then took it to the dealership to be checked out. Said the battery was within tolerance. Is there a way to bring up the voltage on one of the screens?
Thanks,
JTMav
