I love the car, its just that i also want a scion FRS
Ive sat in it and yes the interior is a downgrade, the car is slower in the stright line, but when i was car shopping i had 3 cars on my list
The 2014 IS, 2013 GS, and the FRS

I have plans to get the FRS in the near future, but im curious about the value of the GS

And no. Im not gonna get rid of the camry for the frs. Cause if s#%¥ hits the fan its gonna suk being stuck with 2 car notes lol

Hit me up if you are interested in selling. I am in the market for a GS and it would be good for me to avoid the sales tax and save a few thousand off of new.

You still have to pay sales tax when you register the car at DMV

Sales tax on person to person auto sales depends on your state's law.
In GA, until this year's advalorem tax overhaul, person to person sales were tax free.

I don't think he'll even get $45K but maybe.
You can buy a new $56K list GS for $52K.

You have to pay sales tax in MD and VA if you move into the state whether your cars are new or not. Have to pay it on the book value. So, certainly also with a private sale.

NV has sales tax on dealer purchases new and used, but not private party sales

http://www.dmvnv.com/regfees.htm#sales

Sales Taxes
The Nevada Sales and Use tax is actually several separate taxes which fund state and local government, schools and special purposes. See the Nevada Department of Taxation Sales and Use Tax Publications for current tax rates. Taxes on vehicle sales vary by the type of sale and the tax rate of the county in which the vehicle is based.

Nevada Dealer Sales - Taxes are paid to the dealer based on the actual purchase price.

Out-of-State Dealer Sales - The DMV will verify whatever taxes were paid and charge any difference between that amount and what would have been due on a Nevada dealer sale.

Private Party Sales, Family Sales and Gifts - Sales on or after January 1, 2006, are not subject to sales taxes. On private sales that occurred in 2005 or earlier, sales taxes were paid to the DMV based either on the depreciated Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) or a vehicle appraisal. (NRS 374.112)
