Default Test Fitting

Hi Everyone,

Like most people here, I'm looking to change the wheels on my '13 GS350 Lux.

As the warranty conditions here in Singapore are pretty strict, the dealer says I have to stick with exactly the same wheel specs for my warranty to remain intact. I tried to order 18" Enkei PF01 rims from Japan (18x8.0J +45, 5x114.3) but the shop there said the rims might contact the brakes.

There is a severe lack of Enkei supply here, but I found one shop with a wheel that has similar specs except that the PCD is 5x112.

So my question is, will the holes on the 5x112 wheel fit on our 5x114.3 car just for a test fitting to see if the rim will make contact with the brakes? To be clear, all this will only be done with the car jacked, and I'm not even planning to put tyres on the test wheel.

appreciate any input. Thanks a lot in advance, and apologies for the rambly post!

I have the Enkei Ammodo 18 inch rims for my winter set. The bolt pattern is 5x114.3. You CANNOT use any other bolt pattern or the car will shake and vibrate on the highway. Its not a matter of whether it will touch the brakes or not though it wont.

We have an authorized dealer in Singapore, maybe they can help.

Completely agree.

Look at my GS300 and the number of modifications I did to it. Never once did Borneo motors threaten to void my warranty.

All you need to do is go to the servicing workshop at Borneo Motors and look at the cars brought in for maintenance work. How many of those Lexus cars have aftermarket wheels? Many. Do you think they would dare do that if aftermarket wheels voided their car warranty?

Just use hubcentric 15mm 112 to 114.3 adapters.

Thanks for all the input! Guess I'll double check with my salesman again, and perhaps try getting a wheel with a bit more offset so I can clear the brakes.

appreciate all the input!
