Default Moving over from an '06 IS350 - Need help with a special order

Here’s a list of the items that I’m interested in (in order of preference):

Deep Sea Mica
Black leather
Navigation
18” wheel upgrade
Rear lip spoiler
Heated and vented seats
Intuitive parking assist
Paint Protection Film
Heads up display
Rear-door manual sunshades
Remote engine start

I would prefer to have all these installed at the factory to prevent the dealer from laying a hand on it.
I saw a Blue Mica at a dealer, with 30 miles on it, covered in spider webbing. poor thing!
I'm okay with waiting the 8+ weeks to special order, but I've been getting mixed responses from various dealers/sales reps.

I understand that certain items on my list need other prerequisites; however, I'm hearing that big "package upgrades" are necessary to get everything I'm looking for.

If it's truly getting ordered from the factory, what's the most simple/least expensive way to get my dream GS?

Thanks!

You can go to Edmunds.com and they had a tool under pricing that allows you to build the car. Unlike Lexus.com all the packages are seperate and it will let you know if there is a prerequesite for each. That is how I built mine and I took that to my dealer and ordered it. Edmunds will also list the MSRP for each, Invoice for each, and a True Market Price based on your Zip code for what this model is actually selling at. It will give you better information to negotiate with.

To get the side manual shades you have to get the Luxury Pkg. which is a pretty good jump in price and equipment.

Awesome, thanks!
So this is accurate enough to push back on a sales rep when he's telling me I need all the other stuff?
This gives me everything except the manual shades.
Also, does anyone have the remote start? Is there a new FOB? or just a combination on the standard one? I'm in Houston, so it will obviously be used for the COOLING feature

You don't want the Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) ?
The Luxury Pkg is great!

The way u have it configured.. Its pretty much a base model with HUD. It might be better if u can find a car u like already built
They usually dont discount special order cars

Check if your dealer has a pre negotiated price with costco. Many in So Cal do. They can show you a prearranged price. My local dealership is $500 over invoice, doesnt matter if it's on the lot or a special order.

I do, but not for $5k.

I'm hoping to stay around $30k (get the GS around $50k and sell my IS for $20k)

You should not have a problem getting a discount on an ordered car. HUD may be difficult to find with that equipment

Ok,just make sure because it sucks when you wish you had certain options after a purchase.I've been there..
Good luck with your purchase.

That color is not very forgiving to scratches.
As i stated above, i would really like to order with all options installed at the factory.

I'm not exaggerating, the brand new GS i saw had spider webbing all over it. Someone must have dropped the towel on the floor and then went to town on the paint.

I will be requesting to leave the car wrapped in plastic. I want that "ooo ahhh" feeling when i remove it

Hey Just special ordered a car a few weeks ago, its your best bet if you want specific features HUD was a must for me. I dont think your going to get that big discount your hoping for on a special order, you would probably have to settle for something on the lot. It takes anywhere from 2 1/2 - mnths depending on how much volume your dealer does.
