Default Rock Chips

I just got this car for 1 week and I already got a few rock chips on my hood. I was wondering if Dr.colorchip touch up paint would do the job. My car color is Nebula Gray Pearl and wondering did any 1 use dr.colorchip on that color before and how it match up with the paint?

Get a clearbra installed ASAP. The paint chips very easily on these cars. I just had mine installed about 3 weeks ago.

I've used the Dr Color Chip before with good results. I ordered the kit for my GS and the paint didn't match at all. Ordered the OEM Lexus touchup paint and it matches great.

Might be better on yours because the NGP is darker.

ya im trying to install clear bra asap after I saw some rock chip on my hood. Im trying to fix the rock chip before putting it on. Should I put clear bra on the rear bumper too? Im planning to put it on the front bumper and the hood and deciding should I do it on my rear too.

I would just do the hood and bumper. There is some possibilities that you can get a rock chip on the sides but it's to low of a probability to warrant an install. If you get hooked up, do it. BTW, anyone, where can I purchase films to do the whole hood?

I would do the leading 1/3rd of the bumper, the matching portion of the fenders, the bumper, and the backs of the mirrors.

This is not something I would install myself. Definitely professional only...

Some owners don't even drive the car home from the showroom without the clear bra. Any touchups showup and make the car look worse. At that point, you are looking at a respray. Cars today chips very easily. Go for the clear bra but make sure you get a very experienced installer with a good product.

Definitely do the top of the rear bumper. I have been installing a lot of those as the top of the bumper gets gouged and scuffed when removing items from the truck.

Hood, Bumper, Fender, Door Edges, Side Mirrors & Front Lights (Head & Fogs) is a must, at least for the backwards city I'm in. Instead of plowing snow, morons running the city councel opt to saturate the roads with lots of rocks & sand. Maybe part of the roof in front of the sunroof & even the front windshield if you do lots of highway.

You're not going to respray the bumper for one chip. I would touch the chip up and get the clearbra installed on top.

The paint on my body shop-painted front bumper is holding up far better than the paint which was factory-applied.

it all depends on how deep is the rock chip into the body and can it be repaired by just a simple touch-up paint.
