So basically we are getting 8 speed on the 2014 gs even on gs250 in the uk?

My dealer tells me 8 speed's for the '14 GS350 F Sport...it's more about CAFE/MPG's than anything else but there's the added bene of improved acceleration. With that said I wouldn't be surprised if all the GS's get the 8 speed at one point in MY '14

and hunting for gears? I really hate that.

Acceleration is better apples to apples with 8 vs 6 as are mpgs

I think most manufactuers have worked that out by now...8 speeds are the way to go but no more than 8.

The good news is Lexus has had time to work out most of the kinks/software issues with the 8 speed by now. If you can wait I would as the new 3IS is quite nice compd to the 2IS. The next question is when does Lexus give the 250 a much needed power boost? Another 20 HP would be nice.

I dont mind waiting for the gs if it will be getting a 8 speed which i heard was better for acceleration and mpg i was originally going for the 3is but changed my mind...i think the 3is is one of those cars that i need to see it in person but the more i see the gs fsport the less i want the 3is...yep and another 20 bhp bump up would be nice for the is250 gsf

I would like to wait for the 8 speed GS too, but she can only extend her lease until Sept, when are the 14's due? I have a sneaking suspision the 14's will have another trick up its sleeve beyond the 8 speed but I can't say for sure.
