Actually I called today because i got the three month email stating I should come in for service. So i called and said I only have 3k. Do i wait till 5k, they said yes and that the oil change is a part of it.

I'd wait till 5K unless you have any issues.
Can't see why the oil is being changed.
Toyota/Lexus 0w20 oil change interval is 12 months or 10K miles. Not a bad thing changing the oil.
If that change is free, make sure the next change is free also.

They sent me some sort of letter with like 4 free oil changes or something like that. I have it stashed away. On the OP's topic. I have a minor squeak only sometimes. After reading this thread I took the car around the block and couldn't get it to squeak. I wonder if this is one of those things that has to happen all the time to get fixed. Once the brakes are warmed up more I hear it.

This question has come up before...does this SB apply to RWD only or AWD too?

In Singapore here we get free 5 years servicing which includes parts & labour but excludes wear & tear parts like tyres & brake pads.

I am sorry, I don't get this, how can I tell if my vin number is effected?

I called my dealer today because I have a squeak here and there and they had no idea of the TSB. They actually told me I don't have access to those online. I told him I will bring it in.

my last digits of my vin are..D5015039

looks like this tsb does not apply to your car, your vin comes after the above numbers. same with mine. yet mine still squeaks so i'm going to bring it in anyways. either that or wait for aftermarket ceramics pads and replace them. as of last month no aftermarket pads were available for the 4gs.

these oem pads are way too dusty!

I am just going to cancel my appointment. I rather have them not fuss with my wheels and all that crap. It is going to come down to them finding the TSB and seeing that my car does not apply.I had brembos on another car of mine and they would always squeak. It was sort of a chracteristic of the actual pad itself. I just can't stand the brake dust either.

Oh cool...mine is covered. Should I wait to get it serviced since the noise doesn't bother me much? Only sounds when wet or near stop?

BTW, wanted to know if the f sport calipers are aluminum.

Usually when it comes to brakes as long as there not lower than 3mm ( that's when it hits wear indicator) they will replace them, since warranty brakes pay better than cp, tech's do it no problem

Does yours still squeak? Any update? My VIN is not affected but squeaks bad. The service advisor told me it's part of high performance brake system. How come it didn't at the begining? Anything I can ask them to do for me?

I just had mine done today. They resurfaced the rotors and installed new improved pads. The service rep indicated that new pads are ceramic and should cut down on the brake dust. I'll post an update on the brake dust.
