Default Engine Break-in

I know people say that this engine is "bullet-proof" but are any of you guys going through any engine break-in procedures (low rpms, early oil change, etc)

I have to admit that I definitely have driven it a bit hard at times since, well... since it is awesome. So this is me feeling guilty and asking if we should be breaking in the engine a bit.

I hope everyone is having a happy holidays.

One of the pleasures of leasing.

You must be a good student when in school. I remember my dad telling me to be gentle with my first bike and not to speed up too roughly or pass certain speed. I still listen to those advices when I get a new car. I did notice on the GS that when it was new, RPM was running pretty high. I remember seeing 3K at 65-70mph. I thought it was kind of unusual for a Lexus/Toyota. After a few weeks, it went down to about 2K which is where it is on my RX.

I'm sure if one "drives like you stole it", it won't hurt the engine much or at all at least until the lease is up. But the advices from old folks still apply and that's why it is recommended.

That's because Lexus used metric distances as their base (the kilometre distances in brackets are nice round non-goofy numbers).
