Default Special Order GS

I am looking for a loaded GS with most options in starfire/Flaxen and have been unsuccesful I was always skeptical of special ordering for discount reasons. Has anyone special ordered their Gs and what did you pay? Thanks

I just special ordered a GS 350 to get the HUD and Radar Cruise Control. I am in the Los Angeles area and shopped several dealers. Most wanted $1000 over invoice to order. I found one (Longo) that would sell it at invoice plus $1500 off for the Loyalty rebate. If I bought one off Longo's lot it appears I could have gotten it for $1000 under invoice.

The wait is hell. On the west coast, orders go in on the 20th of each month. If you place your order on the 21st you just added a month to your delivery. We got ours in on the 11/13.

It's worth waiting to get the options and color combinations you want. I did it and although it took 3 1/2 months I don't regret it a bit. When you start looking for PCS and LKA or light vision and want a certain color combo it's the only way you'll get it. I didn't know they don't stock HUD. seems like there are a number of cars here on the forum that have it.

This was April but I paid a thousand over invoice. I'm sure you can get a much better deal now. And the wait wasn't as bad as I thought it would be

I believe that is the exception. Going to be a hard car to find I believe but who knows.

Call a few dealers, see if they could find the car here in the states first. You might get lucky like some of us, and get the car quicker

I signed my papers the first week of August, and, as in your case, the orders go in on the 20th on the east coast. My car has been sitting at the port in Newark, NJ for the past week, waiting to be processed. Dealer says any day now...they "hotted" the car to expedite the processing.

My sticker was just under $62k, and my purchase price was about $3400 off of that. Then you knock off another $1500 for the loyalty rebate. Maybe not the best deal, but the APCS was a must have for me, and the only way to get that is to special order (unless somebody cancels their order). When I was placing the order, there were zero cars in the pipeline with APCS, excluding the special orders that were obviously spoken for, and that was from Lexus corporate in CA who can see everything out there.

The easiest thing for a dealer to do is order a car. They take your money and wait. Make them find your car if they want the sale.

I agree, and trust me I tried. I called at least 20 dealers in several states and each dealer searched for my car. There were none out there.

I got $4253 under sticker of $60,060 plus the $1500 for loyalty rebate for a total cost of $54307 plus tax and other fees. But like I had to shop hard and hit a lot of dealerships to get it. Longo, where I bought it in El Monte (So. Cal), is the number 2 dealer in the US behind a Florida dealer so I guess than have more room (& incentive) to deal.

It's surprising the difference from dealer to dealer. That doesn't sound like a bad deal.

Steve Johiro at Longo. I have been very pleased with his service and would buy from him again. Loyalty rebate was an offer in December for owners of other luxury vehicles.

Ok guys I just came from special ordering my GS, very exciting I had to special order there is just no inventory around the NY area right now, I ordered a starfire/flaxen Lux with cold weather and night vision, heads up, park assist, mark levi, remote start. We agreed on $1000 over invoice I thought that was fair now we just have to agree on my trade and a price to upgrade wheels to F sport. Should be arriving in 2-3 mnths since its a high volume dealership.
