If you are referring to this lip it's the sk style lip off of ebay for a $105. I'm sure it's a knock off, but for the price if I knock it off I have a spare lip on standby. For the night I have one to many lol.

Pole Position
We had a decent amount of snow in Toronto this week, and I had to drive across the city twice during the messiest part of it. After that, I couldn't even tell what colour my car is any more. "Grey/Brown Camo Pattern" is not a good look for the 4GS, so I guess that's why they don't offer it from the factory.
Last year I used a car wash with one of those in bay laser wash units (where you just park and it moves around your car). It worked OK but it takes 5-10 minutes per car, and I got tired of waiting in line for an hour. Today I was going to try out the Petro Canada "Glide" wash near my house, which is a trackless conveyor that's supposed to have touchless as an option. I emphasize "supposed to".
I scanned my ticket and waited for some kind of wash options menu to come up on the screen. Instead, the gate just opens and there I see the spinning brushes of death. Nope, nope, nope. I back out of there and go out the "bail-out lane" just beside the gate and go in to the station to ask about this. Well it turns out they do not have touchless at that location (what!?!) and also do not offer refunds, but I can use my ticket at any other location provided I don't mind driving to another town just for a car wash. Which probably won't work anyway as I have already scanned my ticket.
Since it is slightly above freezing today, I decided to just hand wash in the driveway. I think it came out pretty good for a quick 2-bucket wash, not perfect, but better than it would have in any automated car wash. And hopefully less paint damage than the spinning brush/paint grinder system would have if I'd just gone through that anyway. I think I might get a pressure washer so I can get more of the dirt off before touching it next time, the garden hose didn't remove much.
I think I'm going to avoid Petro Canada for a while. Like a year. Their "no refunds" policy just cost them a couple thousand in sales. Hope they're happy.
