Most people?! I wouldn't say most people.

Why would anyone be ashamed of a Lexus GS 350? I want people to know I'm what I'm driving, especially BMW 5 series and MB E350 owners. I want 'em to be jealous. Deep down, I think they are, even if they won't admit it. Deep down, they have to know they made a mistake and should've gotten a Lexus.
nah... the debadgers are def not ashamed of what they're driving, i took mine off for the IMO cleaner look. it doesn't matter if the car is debadged... if you're a car guy/enthusiast, you'll know what car it is. a salesperson from Lexus here in GA came out and asked me which model car i had, because he didn't see the badges.

Definitely agree with sydtoosic, I always debadge my rides, looks much cleaner and it also starts up conversations with people who want to know what it is.

I saw one member's GS without the GS350 and thought it looked clean. So I took mine off. My "passengers" said it looked weird. I personally think it looks cleaner and it is easier for me to clean the car. I don't like seeing dirt built up around those letters. I used to have to use Q tips to clean around the letter. The other day I was behind a white one. He took it off but then has the "F" logo there. I didn't get to find out which model the car was. He took off and disappeared.
That is one drop dead beautiful car. But I would leave the badge on, otherwise people will think it's an ES.

Possibly, but then those people probably don't know the brand either. Lexus heads will know.

What product(s) do you use for the shine?
Thanks, puckhead! I do drive. In fact I've put more than 12K on already. I have used quite a few different products. Now I'm back to the basics. I use ONR wash most of the time. I'd like to have a pressure washer though. When I feel she needs a wash, I will do a traditional wash. So far the dealer washed her twice (pre sale and at 5K service), my detailer washed her twice. The rest was done by me. These days, after each wash, I use Meguiars Wax Spray. I'm really impressed by this product. It gives the car a deep black look like they advertise. I used Adam's Quick Detailer before (the pink bottle in the second image) but I like Wax Spray more.

Thanks. I could care less if people thought I drove an ES or overpriced Camry. Car people know when they see a GS. And I don't think any GS owner would feel ashamed for its badge. We may do it for different reason but definitely not that. Even one LS owner here de-badged his brand new LS.
