Smile F Sport ML audio upgrade options

So after reading through what other members have done -- these are the two options I am at to add the lower-end bass and a more full sound as the system sounds pretty awesome already.

In this I would assume the stock sub would be unhooked.

Option 1: This is a pre-built box for a JL jx-250 and a 12wBox with a JL 250/1 amp already mounted to it. With remote bass control and complete install, $649

Option 2: Single 12in Alpine 4 OHM Type R with a single vented 12in box, Alpine 500/1 amp, full install with the 2 pieces that make it adjustable through a stock system. $922

Which would you do and why?

I like the adjustability through the stock system myself. How big is our woofer in ML systems? I was thinking it would be cool to remove my ML sub and just pop a better one in there and run an amp to it. But its prolly and 8 inch.

I know, thats so funny because that thing sounds like it is farting when it tries to go low.

What are the two pieces to make the amps adjustable through the stock system?

Is it true? Can you just replace the stock 10 with a better one in its place?
With an independent amp for that of course.
