The chassis of the 4th generation GS is so superb.........that it feels like it's asking for a bigger engine

With that said, I hope Lexus has still kept its promise of introducing a V8 engine sometime within the 4GS lifecycle (either a GS460, GS500 or GS-F).

I do hope Lexus keeps that in mind.

It might have been a lack of research on my part before making such a big purchase.
Judging from your stable... You've made the right decisions in the past. I know how you feel when you think you've made the right decision then come to find out you really didn't. Take a loss and get you something that you can be happy with.

There is really something wrong here...I've owned 328i in the past and that car is dog slow...Sure it fees tad quicker than IS250 but that's nothing to brag about.

Unless you gave 328i good couple seconds head start...GS350/IS350 will walk all over 328i and it doesn't matter if 328i was manual.

As i said before this is not the old and heavy 3 that had a inline 6 in it, this was the new 13' 328 with the turbo 4 banger which is lighter and more powerfull with a 8 speed tranny. What so hard to believe my 4 banger k20a with bolt on and ecu walked a is350.

the old 328i (inline 6) was pretty slow. the new one is a 4 cylinder turbo and has been getting great reviews. according to road and track

0-60 mph 5.4 sec and quarter mile 13.9 secs

for the GS:

0-60 mph in 5.5 sec and quarter mile 13.9 secs

so the acceleration is almost the same, and with the bmw you get 8 gears and also with a turbo you have all that power lower on the rpm range. and the bmw is probably lighter.

the GS 350 is slightly quicker

Some have described it as the performance of a V8 with the fuel consumption of a 4 cylinder -- sounds about right...
, its more of a performance sedan. This ain't your average hybrid. One must drive this car to appreciate what its capable of.

1. Lack of power/acceleration. I knew coming from an IS-F that the power wasn’t going to be there. Not sure if it was gearing, but the new RX with the same engine seemed to be quicker and more responsive than my GS.
The RX does not have the same engine as the IS/GS. They only share displacement size. RX's are rated at 270hp without direct injection.
