"An annual subscription fee of only $65.00 per year is required to activate the Lexus RES+ smartphone services."
Not bad at all!
I'm sure in the near future they will expand the application to support other vehicles in the line up.

I just spoke to customer service, they said they are testing it on the RX first because it has a much simpler system than our GS, and our GS will be supported early to mid next year. Hope

I want this bad!!!! I have the current factory remote start, but was thinking of replacing it with the Viper/w iPhone smart start. Maybe I will wait until they make this available for the GS and then I'll go factory.

Miffed that the latest technology add-on can't be used on the best technology car Lexus offers! And a "maybe" for early to mid next year?? Ridiculous!
How can I sign up to be a beta tester???

I emailed my Vehicle Technology Specialist and a lot what is said here is correct:
This is the factory remote starter we are waiting for Lexus to unveil. The only information I have seen is it is 2013 Rx350 only, but I will know more when Lexus releases the kit. It also does not use existing remote starter. I am hoping they add other models besides the RX350 but I have not heard anything yet.

Thanks! Keep us informed when they add the GS to the list of cars.

RES+ will cost you $65 a year to have active application on your Smartphone. You must also have Lexus dealer install at your expense a computer remote so the two talk. GS works. I already have remote starter and will park where I can find the car. Too expensive for what it does.
