Default How are your seats holding up?

I think we would all agree that the seats in the new GS are amazingly more comfortable than the seat in the MK3, but I did notice that they seem a lot thinner and les sturdy. My car is only 3 months old and 1400 miles so as you would expect the seats still look and feel fine.
The US have had the new GS since February and by reading this forum I can see that some of you have covered thousands of miles, so I just wondered , how are your seats holding up?.

Great question. My seats are holding up well at 5.5K miles. Normal creases, but nothing major. I can't say the same for my X G37 coupe. Seats looked like ***** after my first year. They wore too fast.

Mine are still ok. The leather by the door on the drivers side (bottom) has a bit of wear... but that's leather for you. Also doesn't help that I park at work on an incline, which probably causes me to put a bit more stress on the seats. Overall though, nothing bad and all expected. As an FYI (this is my perspective), I find the GS leather to be harder than that in the other cars I'm comparing to (LX570, EX35 and CLS550).

Great to hear. Agree with your comment about the leather seats in the G37. They wear too fast.

I have about 11K now and still looks good. Mine is luxury and it has semi aniline leather if that matter.

Funny you mentioned it. My GS seats are holding up well at 3,500. The Stone seats in our G37 Convertible look like crap with only 10,000 miles on the car and show dirt in the creases. I've cleaned them, but I am going to have them "reconditioned" soon.

Soft leather seems to wear more quickly. I used to have a '99 SC300 with only 25k miles and the black leather had lines and cracks all over it. It was a really good grade, soft leather. I know from buying leather couches, the softest, best quality leather shows the greatest wear. I'll stick with the hard leather in the GS.
