By removing the stock intake tube you are also removing the built in sound creator. It is actually quieter and not the deep throaty sound that the stock intake tube creates. You do hear it when you get on it. There is an improvements on acceleration and a bit more responsive that is noticeable.

you won't get the sound with just the drop in filter. you need the aluminum/steel tube without any sort of rubber insulation.

The installation of my F Sport CAI ordered from Sewell. It was a very simple swap of the stock intake with no mods that I had to do. I did remove the second filter that is factory attached to the air filter box cover to make it breath better. I also installed the K&N High Flow Washable Air Filter. The slide is very busy and I hope I captured all the angles. I just installed it today and have not had the chance to take out on the road. I did start the car, not load, sounds a bit loader than the stock intake.
So how do you like the intake? I have it now, but haven't installed it yet. Just wondering if you think there is more performance with this intake.
