Is the F sport air intake that sewell parts has any good for the 4gs? I know it says it will fit. But I am wondering about the performance and sound of it. Please help!!

Past experiences with the 3GS F-Sport intake were not good. Wait for Joe to get his out or wait for K&N to develop one.

I'm referring to the "F-Sport" intake for the 3GS...which coincidentally looks exactly like the one Sewell is selling for the 4GS.
There was a huge thread in the 3GS forum about people complaining that the added "sound" was not there and all it does is hook up to the current air box. Whereas a CAI pulls cooler air from outside of a box.
I had the K&N CAI for my 3GS. It was FANTASTIC! The 4GS already has piped in intake "sound" from the factory, so if that's all you're looking for, you're wasting your money. The stainless steel tube needs to be un-insulated. Which from the photos on Sewells website, it is rubber lined....you won't get any sound from that. You will also likely have to remove the sound creator, which actually means you're worse off.
EDIT: If you go F-Sport route, you probably WON'T have to remove the sound creator...but doesn't that already tell you something? Why would you keep that on there if what you're adding should create the same sound?

I previously had the IS-F intake installed in my IS-350 but when i got my new GS-350F i asked my guy at the dealer and he said he could install it with some minor modifications so i went ahead and did it and it is sounds great! Even a couple techs at the dealer were impressed with the sound that it put out...

Here is the pic. I am not sure of the modifications that was done cause i wasn't there but by what my buddy at the dealer said it wasn't much to get it to fit right.

It is the same for IS250/350/GS350 Fsport or not. If it truly does fit with minor modifications and your looking for a LOUD intake, F-Sport isn't the way to go. Like someone said, wait for K&N or another company. Greddy just released an Intake for the 2GR-FSE you guys might want to look into that if this Fsport truly does fit with minor modifications.
BTW stock is probably the best system you can have. It arleady comes with a sound creator and most aftermarket even with heat shields, only allow more intake of engine bay heat.
