Walking away
When the car is being warmed up and I would walk away with the key in my pocket it would start beeping. Will it eventually turn off? Can someone still drive away?

It won't turn off, someone could get in it and drive it away but once its turned off it won't restart without the key. All keyless start systems from all manufacturers work this way.
