Default Lexus GS 350 Water-Repellent Front-Door Glass Demonstration [Video]

I shot this video demonstrating the water-repellent front-door glass on my 2013 Lexus GS 350 after observing the coating's effect while washing my vehicle. It is best viewed at a higher video resolution such as 720p.

Yes, it's only on the two front side windows. And on the 2013 GS, it's only on the F-Sport and Winter package cars. It’s a titanium-silica coating.

Does any one have recommendations for cleaning the water-repellent glass? I've only had my GS F-Sport for 2-weeks and the side glass looks greasy, even after cleaning.

don't know if you can spray a degreaser on your glass. you can clay your glass and that will get rid of the grease.

Thanks, I'll try the Dawn. Might just be the car being so new, so we will see as time passes.

Lol I hope this isn't an expensive option. Give me a bottle of $10 Rain-X paste/wax and 20 mins, and you'll have identical results. Then I'll charge you 1/2 of what Lexus says it costs.

Dawn work, or all purpose cleaner and a dry micro fiber towel. DO NOT PUT WAX ON YOUR WINDOWS. You will go through hell trying to remove it.

It's not so much a wax but a glaze that you buff off. Sorry for the confusion.
