Week 1:
Miles driven - 1,000 mi (Exact!)

So far the car has been great. The mileage figures have been on par with my previous 07 GS 350. So far i've averaged 24-25 mpg mixed city and highway driving with 2 trips down to San Diego. The car is surprisingly quiet at highway speeds above 70mph. So far the biggest things that have stood out to me is the ODO readout turning on when you first enter the car (finally) and the exterior LED DRL's turning on when you unlock the car. Nice touches! I do wish that you are able to read the ODO if the readout is turned off. So far the only car that I know of where you can read the ODO when the readout is off is the 2013 Scion FR-S. You can press the ODO/TRIP button and the mileage indicator turns on. May not be a big deal for some but it helps when you're logging your mileage. Evening illumination is not bad with the standard HID projectors, but I did find a need for fog lights during a foggy evening drive. Hopefully someone can make a PNP foglamp retrofit kit to fill in the blanks.

Has anyone ever noticed how aggressive and sinister the New GS looks at night thanks to the LED running lamps and the LED taillamps?

Nice pics!!! I gotta admit, I absolutely hated the new GS but your pics and its features makes it really appealing. I really do wish they stuck w/ some of the original Lexus cues that I've grown to love from the GS platform.

Have you driven one yet? If not, you should simply because it will change your perception of this GS compared to the previous generations. They really did an amazing job with steering feel/input and suspension feel. The car feels much more agile than it really does. Chassis rigidity and great suspension tuning are key to the New GS' success.
