Default Unwanted Steering Wheel Position Change

When powering the car up without starting the engine, the steering wheel moves to the currently set driving position the same as it does when the engine is started. I'd like to have the wheel remain "parked" (fully retracted and fully up like when the power is off) when I am in the car but listening to the radio, etc. (note: My '08 IS-F exhibited the same behavior.)

Any suggestions on what to do to modify my car's behavior? TIA!

Infiniti steering wheel & seat only move to driving position when start the engine. Lexus move when you turn to ACC.

I suspect you are both right and it's a shame. I can work around it.....

I just set memory position 3 to all the way back and steering wheel up. Then you simply push the button when in acc mode.

Memory seat buttons are my work around...

Memory 1 is set for driving..

Memory 2 is set for entering / exiting..

Memory 3 is set for my wife, who has only driven my car once or twice..

Works like a charm for the steering wheel & seat positions ..
