Default Spindle Grill with Black Bumper

Has anyone painted the Spindle Grill Bumper the same color as the grill like the F-Sport at the SEMA show? I think it gives the F-Sport a more aggressive look. I plan on doing it once I drop the car.

Did you have it painted or used a vinyl tape just in case you did not like it? Looking for forward seeing your pics.

Same here, did it with Plasti-Dip so that I could've pulled it off if it didn't come out right or didn't like it. Needless to say, I still haven't pulled it off because it looks SICK! I'll go out to my car in a few and take pix. I bought 4 cans of PD, cost me $24 w/tax. Used 1 1/2 cans on the front and rear trims and applied about 5-6 coats of PD for longevity and even appearance.

Rather than link all the pics on here I uploaded them all to my Flickr, as I have to get to a meeting. If anyone wants to link my pics here for reference, than go right ahead. Oh the picture of the hole is on the bottom driver side of my bumper, backed into a make shift wood bumper yesterday and the sensor didn't go off until I had already hit it (mind you I was crawling, it's not like I was going to fast for it to detect anything). That hole is from a nut and bolt where the bolt protruded the nut. Called my dealer, told them the scenario, and they said pending inspection and explanation that they would cover the repair costs. Here's the link to my flckr: Clicky Here

I like it. Looks like the front of the LS F Sport now.

Smile Sprindle grill blacking out

I want to do the same with the spindle grill and make the bumper part black. What's the best way to do this? Vinyls, plastidip...? Any help will be appreciated! Thanks

How did you do it using plasti dip? I tried a few times but turned out sloppy.

Im actually thinking of doing something also, not sure about the entire black-out in the spindle...Im thinking more of a black-chrome PVD on the grills, leave the bright chrome on the trim, and then use a metallic charcoal/peal black between the upper and lower grill.

Here is what mine looks like. 90 bucks vinyl, an hour or two worth of work.
