Default Anyone figure out where to plug the radar detector?

So.. I have yet to be able to find a clean way to plug in my radar detector. Been going without it. Anyone figure out a way to neatly fit one to the interior decor? The nearest plug is in the armrest it seems.

You might have to find a way to hardwire the radar into the in cabin fuse box somehow then run the wires up along the A pillar to get a clean install and setup.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the mirror tap with these fancy new cars. I'm so used to working on older cars w/o these new fancy technologies

I installed the blendmount 2000 for Escort on my 2013 GS. It looks great. I have an Escort cordless Solo S3. I did not get the Mirrortap.

How are you liking your cordless Escort so far? Is it dependable? Does it eat up batteries? Any opinions much appreciated. TAI ~Tu

Came across this write up for a V1 hard wire with Blendmount for a 2010 IS250. He hooked it up through the rain sensor. I wonder if our GS's are similar. Looks like a pretty clean install.

I really like the clean look. It has gone off on all the known Ka, Ku, and X band signals on the way to work. I've not seen the laser go off yet. It's been 2 weeks and I am still on the original batteries. I like the feature that it will shut itself off if not moving for 20 minutes.

FYI. I just ordered the mount by calling the company direct. Due to some "price war" with amazon, they sold it to me for 70 bucks plus six dollar express shipping.

Just a heads up to anyone that wants one of these.

For my 9500ix, I bought the direct wire smartcord, and tapped it into the foot light on passenger side. Although this was done in my LS, i would figure same could be done in GS. One bad thing about this is that it stays on all the time (auto shuts off after 4 hours of non movement), and you have to manually turn on when off.

I think next time i will try either mirror or map lights.

Looking around on my 4g today. The back of the mirror doesn't have that plug on it. The wiring is routed inside the actual neck of the mirror for a cleaner look. I was thinking of tapping the mirror-tap into there. I guess i'm gonna have to remove the rain sensor and tap into that harness
