GS with Supra chassis, now we just missing the 2JZ :)
Just got back from a local Lexus GS launch event few days ago and I most said this car is amazing! Handle very well, good interior and priced just right. Plus I learned that the new GS use the same Supra platform that Toyota used back in 90’s! As a former Supra owner that just make me proud and that shows Toyota/Lexus design is 10+ years ahead of others!
Checked with my source and here is the reference (at 0:40):
During the new Lexus GS launch conference they confirmed it is using the same “platform” as the Supra and previous SC430 (I think the Lexus spokesmen means SC300/SC400).

The Gen 3 Supra used
" Again using subframe, suspension and drivetrain assemblies from the Z30 Soarer (Lexus SC300/400), test model pre-production started in December 1992 with 20 models,[14] and official mass production began in April 1993"] the A80 chassis... A good chassis, but not really mid-sized by US standards.
The GS has always been based on the Toyota Aristo chassis and has been highly moddified over the years.

The 1GS and 2GS did share a lot of chassis components with the Supra and Soarer/SC. I don't think the 4GS will use a 20 years old chassis . Car dynamics have greatly improved since then.

Do you really think that the new GS, which Lexus currently has as it's halo handling car is based on a 15+ year old chassis?

FYI for ALL...
Easy guys... Listen carefully ..!!
"It's shares the same attributes from the Supra platform..." It does NOT use a Supra chassis..
I'm not going to define attributes...
